EPA 608 Technician Certification Course
EPA regulations under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act now require that technicians who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances containing regulated refrigerants become certified in the use of proper refrigerant handling techniques to reduce the potential release of ozone-depleting refrigerants into the atmosphere.
Technicians are required to pass an EPA-approved test to earn Section 608 Technician Certification. The tests are specific to three distinct categories of equipment the technician may seek to work on.
This in-person preparatory course will be held at the ABC-NJ Headquarters in Mt. Laurel. It is designed to help students understand and follow the EPA’s regulations regarding the handling storage, and labeling of refrigerants in the HVAC industry. The course is intended to walk students through the relevant information that will prepare them for the EPA 608 exam.
Each participant in the course will receive:
-
ESCO Institute Prep Manual

All passing participants will receive the EPA 608 Certification (immediate proof of passing can be printed with a wallet-sized certification arriving within 7-10 days).
