1. HOW TO KEEP THE JOB GOING IN THE FACE OF A LABOR DISPUTE
   Presenter: Marc Furman, Cohen Seglias
   This session will cover the use of a Reserved Gate system, the elements needed to seek injunctive relief, any possible causes of action at the NLRB, and practical advice for getting the job done and staying out of court

2. BEST PRACTICES – PRACTICAL TRAINING FOR SUCCESSFUL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
   Presenter: Evan Blaker, Cohen Seglias
   A review of everyday scenarios in the field and how to respond, and the ramifications of responding incorrectly.
   

3. PREVAILING WAGE UPDATES
   Presenter: Russ McEwan, Littler
   Russ will share the knowns, the unknowns, and the potential pitfalls of New Jersey’s new “orientation” requirement for prevailing wage workers.

4. METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR SECURING PAYMENT FAST AND EFFECTIVELY
   Presenter: Greg Trif, Trif & Modugno
   The topic will cover rights and remedies available to contractors in New Jersey for securing payment, such as liens, bonds, prompt pay act, and contractual provisions that impact payment e.g., pay-if-paid, pay-when-paid, and liquidation agreements.

5. NEW JERSEY CONSTRUCTION LIENS
   Presenter: Harry Horwitz, Stevens & Lee
   Construction liens in New Jersey can help get general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers paid. If done right, a construction lien can get a property sold, with the sale money going to pay contractors and suppliers for work and materials. There are different rules for commercial and residential projects. Be prepared and learn about construction liens.

6. PUBLIC CONTRACTING IN NJ – THE DO’S AND DON’T’S OF BIDDING

   2024 Labor Landscape in review – what to expect under the new administration, and what to expect in organized labor in the construction industry

8. 2025 OSHA TRENDS AND PREDICTIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
   Presenter: Brad M. Kushner, Stevens & Lee
   Discussion of OSHA’s recent construction initiatives and emphasis programs, new and proposed OSHA standards that impact the industry, and recent notable decisions that provide guidance and insight for employers. Predictions about what to expect from OSHA under the new administration will be offered.
