Topic: “Safety Under the Hard Hat: Tools to Address Mental Health in the Construction Industry”

We must prioritize the total human health of our workers beyond personal protective equipment. In 2020, the Centers for Disease Prevention reported that the construction industry had one of the highest rates of death by suicide among its workers. In 2018, there were 1,008 US construction worker fatalities on job sites, while 5,242 construction workers perished because of death by suicide. That is five times higher.

Safety Committee meetings are a member benefit, and are held monthly
on the 3rd Thursday at 8:30 a.m., in-person (breakfast provided) or virtually.
