On November 6, Associated Builders and Contractors New Jersey Chapter (ABC-NJ) proudly hosted their Excellence in Construction Awards Gala at the Liberty House in Jersey City. This annual celebration features exceptional projects from top merit shop construction firms and their projects from across New Jersey and celebrated top individual members.
With a historic number of project submissions, ABC-NJ awarded two top honors: Project of the Year: General Contractor, to Pal-Pro Builders for their renovation and expansion of Maplewood Memorial Public Library, New Jersey’s first LEED Gold-certified public library; and Project of the Year: Specialty Contractor, to SJ Hauck Construction for the demolition and reclamation efforts of red sandstone from the First Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City to be used in the restoration of the Smithsonian Castle in Washington, D.C.

Our members work with their clients to create smart and cost-effective solutions and complete projects not only on time, but with safety as a priority.”
Eagle Awards were awarded to Alpine Painting & Sandblasting Contractors; Bancroft Construction; C. Raymond Davis & Sons; DeSapio Construction; Encon Mechanical; Hughes & Hughes General Contracting; Imperial Construction & Electric; Luciana Restoration, Roof4Roof; SNEVEL Technologies; Trinity Subsurface; UniProAir; V.J. Scozzari & Sons, Inc.; Willscot; and Worth & Company.
Individual Awards included: Hughes & Hughes General Contracting (Champion of Merit); Mathias Luciana of Luciana Restoration (Member of the Year), and Debra McGrath (Woman of the Year).
