DESCRIPTION:Join our Safety Committee for October’s meeting.\nTopic: “Safety Under the Hard Hat: Tools to Address Mental Health in the Construction Industry”\nPresented by: Greg Sizemore, Vice President – HSE and Workforce Development with ABC National\n\nWe must prioritize the total human health of our workers beyond personal protective equipment. In 2020, the Centers for Disease Prevention reported that the construction industry had one of the highest rates of death by suicide among its workers. In 2018, there were 1,008 US construction worker fatalities on job sites, while 5,242 construction workers perished because of death by suicide. That is five times higher.\nSafety Committee meetings are a member benefit, and are held monthly\non the 3rd Thursday at 8:30 a.m., in-person (breakfast provided) or virtually.\nPlease email Donna Dight  to be placed on the mailing list for meeting notifications, agendas and Zoom links.\n \nNetwork with other safety peers, hear relevant guest speakers, listen and participate in roundtable discussions, get OSHA questions answered, and share best practices and experiences.\n
