ABC EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT NO COST TO YOUR COMPANY
You can have your NJ employees trained, at no charge to your company, in computers, mathematics, verbal and written communications and English as a second language.
The NJ ABC is utilizing training resources provided by the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development. Community Colleges across the state have programs available with NO COST TO YOUR COMPANY . In order to participate in these courses, you must be a New Jersey based employer, and only full time NJ employees can attend the training.
The courses are NO COST TO YOUR COMPANY, however, the employer must pay the employee to attend. The NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development tracks training using social security numbers – SSN’s must be provided.

Congratulations to the 2010 NJ ABC Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) winners. Established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee, the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. There is no charge for this service (unless you are applying for STEP Platinum), and your responses are strictly confidential.

- The key component system forms a 20 point guide to starting, updating or auditing a company-wide safety program
- Incorporates both OSHA required safety data with self-assessment requirements to give a full, wide ranging report on the entire nature of a company's Safety Program

- Recognition for ABC members at both National and Chapter level. With various recognition events held throughout the year. STEP can also lead into National Safety Excellence Awards and Accredited Quality Contractor recognition.

On October 17 the NJ ABC began HVAC Apprenticeship training for members. The course is an NCCER certified curriculum dealing with L1 HVAC level training.
